Quick answer
How do you move a warehouse without stopping despatch?
A warehouse relocation or consolidation starts with the capacity and network options assessed before the site is chosen, then a move sequence built around your order profile so despatch keeps running: a plan with a sequence and a critical path, a continuity plan for the weeks either side, and hands on support on site in move week. Scoped by the size of the move and the window you have; the Warehouse Move Planning Pack is $249 including GST if you are running it yourself.
Operations consultancy / Warehouse relocation and consolidation
Warehouse relocation and consolidation
You are moving site or combining two, and the business cannot stop while it happens.
What does the work involve?
- Capacity and network options assessed before the site is chosen, not after.
- A move sequence that keeps despatch running, built around your order profile and your peak.
- Dependencies mapped: racking, systems, labour, carriers, customer communications, cutover.
What do you get?
- A move plan with a sequence and a critical path.
- A continuity plan for the weeks either side.
- Hands on support in move week, on site.
Who does it suit?
Any operation moving, consolidating or opening a second site, especially where the move window is short.
Who is it not for?
A move already underway with the layout and the carrier decided; 360 is not a removalist and does not run the trucks on the day.
How long does it take?
Planning work starts eight to twelve weeks before the move window where the dates allow; shorter windows are quoted as what can be done in them.
What do we need from you?
Missing some of this is normal and is not a reason to wait. Send what exists and we will tell you what the work can and cannot conclude before anyone commits.
- The site you are leaving and the site you are going to, or the shortlist if it is not chosen.
- Your order profile and peak, so the move can be sequenced around it.
- Lease dates, and any customer commitments that cannot move.
What does it cost?
Scoped project. Scope depends on the size of the move, the window you have and whether despatch has to keep running through it. The Warehouse Move Planning Pack is $249 including GST if you are running it yourself.
How does 360 work?
A consultant delivers the work and is accountable for the content. Findings come from the data you supply and what we observe inside the agreed scope, and estimated benefits are opportunities to test rather than guaranteed savings. Where a recommendation could lead to 360 earning from supply, we say so in the report so you can compare it against the market. Full terms are on the purchase terms page.

Questions
When should we involve you?
Before the lease is signed if possible. Most relocation pain is decided by the site choice, not the move.
Do you run the move?
We coordinate it and carry the accountability for the plan working. Your team and your contractors do the physical move.
How early is too early to call?
There is no too early. The cheapest decisions in a move are made before the lease is signed: the dock count, the floor loading, the power for the racking and the layout you are moving into. Once the site is chosen the work is sequencing the move around despatch.
Can we keep shipping during the move?
That is the point of the planning. Stock is moved in waves by velocity, the fast movers last, with a despatch plan for each day of the window and a fallback if a wave slips. Whether every day keeps shipping depends on the window you have, which is why the page asks for it.
Do you handle the racking and the carrier?
The plan names what the racking supplier and the carrier must do and by when, and the quotes are compared like for like. 360 does not supply either, and does not run the trucks on the day.
