A job this truck is built for
Two pallets of cartons from a Prestons warehouse to a retail store with no dock. The van reverses to the roller door and the pallet jack does the rest. Two positions and 1,100 kg, pallets no taller than 1.7 m so they clear the roller door, loaded and unloaded with the pallet jack on board. A third pallet, a heavier load or a longer item moves to the large van; a site with no dock, no forklift and no flat run for the jack needs a tail lift truck instead, which is the 2 tonne truck on the next page. Quoted from the two suburbs, the count, the weight and the access, ex GST first. With the deck full, the payload works out at about 550 kg a pallet on average; heavier pallets than that and the weight runs out before the floor does.
How the pallets sit on the deck
Is this the right size?
Pick the vehicle by the pallet count and the weight, in that order. A load that fits on the floor can still be over the payload, and a light load can still run out of positions. If you are near the line, quote both sizes and take the cheaper one. Either side of this vehicle:
Not sure? Describe the freight and every vehicle that fits comes back priced side by side.

Questions about the Courier Van
How many pallets fit on a courier van?
2 pallet positions. That is standard 1165 by 1165 Australian pallets on the floor, not double stacked. Double stacking is quoted separately because it depends on the height and the strength of your freight.
What can a courier van carry?
Up to 1.1 t of freight. Load volume is 9 cubic metres.
What licence does a courier van need?
A C class licence as a minimum. The driver and the vehicle are both confirmed on the job sheet before the run.
Can I get a price without calling?
Yes. Put the pickup, the delivery and the freight into the quote tool and every vehicle that fits comes back priced, this one included. No form, no wait.
How are the pallets arranged on a courier van?
2 positions, one across and 2 along, standard 1165 by 1165 pallets on the floor, not double stacked. The diagram on this page numbers the positions from the headboard, so position one goes on first and comes off last. On a multi-drop run the last delivery is loaded first and the first delivery sits at the door.
