A job this truck is built for

One pallet of parts to a site that is waiting on it, or a run between two of your own sites in the same part of Sydney. Forklift or two people at each end; the tray takes a hand unload where a van cannot. The tray takes one standard pallet and 1,000 kg, freight no taller than 1.2 m and nothing that has to stay dry. A second pallet, a load over the payload or anything under cover goes on the courier van. There is no tail lift, so the job needs a forklift at each end or two people, and the price is the hourly or trip rate on the quote, tolls at cost.

How the pallets sit on the deck

1Deck 3 x 1.9 m
One standard pallet on the tray. Schematic from the configuration on file; the deck is drawn to its internal length and width.

Is this the right size?

Pick the vehicle by the pallet count and the weight, in that order. A load that fits on the floor can still be over the payload, and a light load can still run out of positions. If you are near the line, quote both sizes and take the cheaper one. Either side of this vehicle:

Not sure? Describe the freight and every vehicle that fits comes back priced side by side.

Questions about the Ute

How many pallets fit on a ute?

1 pallet position. That is standard 1165 by 1165 Australian pallets on the floor, not double stacked. Double stacking is quoted separately because it depends on the height and the strength of your freight.

What can a ute carry?

Up to 1 t of freight. Load volume is 2 cubic metres.

What licence does a ute need?

A C class licence as a minimum. The driver and the vehicle are both confirmed on the job sheet before the run.

Can I get a price without calling?

Yes. Put the pickup, the delivery and the freight into the quote tool and every vehicle that fits comes back priced, this one included. No form, no wait.

How are the pallets arranged on a ute?

One standard pallet on the tray. The diagram on this page numbers the positions from the headboard, so position one goes on first and comes off last. On a multi-drop run the last delivery is loaded first and the first delivery sits at the door.
