Instant offer
What are your pallets worth? Four questions and you will know, before you ring anyone.
Most places take your details and call you back tomorrow. Tell us the type, the condition, the count and the postcode and the answer is on the screen: what we pay, whether the pickup is free, and what happens to the broken ones.
Or call Jayden on 0494 820 639, 7am to 5pm weekdays.
Quick answer
What are my pallets worth?
Answer four questions, the type, the condition, the count and the postcode, and the number is on the screen: what we pay, whether the pickup is free, and what happens to the broken ones. Photos of the top, bottom and one side of a typical pallet turn the band into a firm written offer, then a pickup window is booked around the site.
Your pallets
What do you need to value my pallets?
Not sure what you have got? Measure it and we will tell you, then come back here for the number.
What happens next
How does the pickup work after the offer?
The number on screen is the rule. The written offer confirms it against your photos, and then we book a window that suits the site.
- 01You get the number nowNo form, no wait, no call back tomorrow. The band and the collection answer are on the screen as soon as you answer the four questions.
- 02Send photos with the bookingTop, bottom and one side of a typical pallet. Thirty seconds on a phone, and it is what turns the band into a firm number.
- 03Written offer the same business dayAsk before 2pm on a business day and the price comes back the same day. After 2pm it goes out first thing the next business day.
- 04Counted and settled at pickupGraded and counted against the photos. If the lot matches, the price in the offer is the price we pay.
The rule in full
What we pay, and when collection is free.
We pay $3 a pallet ex GST for A grade and $2 for B grade, any type, when the pile is sorted with nothing broken through it, subject to inspection. Collections of 60 or more reusable pallets in Greater Sydney are free. A pile with broken timber through it is quoted as a clearance, so you know the cost before anything is booked.
Counting a stack
How do I count pallets without counting every pallet?
Count the stacks, not the pallets. A standard 1165 timber pallet is about 150 mm high, so a stack at waist height is six or seven, shoulder height is ten, and a stack you cannot see over is fifteen or more. Count one stack properly, then count the stacks and multiply. A photo of the stacks from a few metres back, with something for scale in the frame (a forklift, a door, a person), lets us check the count against the picture, and the grade is read from a second photo of one typical pallet: top, bottom and a side.
| Stack height | Standard timber pallets | Euro or half pallets | Plastic nestables |
|---|---|---|---|
| Waist height, about 1 m | 6 to 7 | 6 to 7 | 12 to 15 (they nest) |
| Shoulder height, about 1.5 m | 10 | 10 | 20 to 25 |
| Forklift mast height, about 2.2 m | 14 to 15 | 14 to 15 | 30 or more |
A count within ten percent is enough to price the lot and send the right vehicle; the exact count is taken on the day, against the photos, before anything leaves.
Questions sellers ask
How can you price it without seeing them?
On the published rule. Sorted A grade pallets earn $3 each ex GST and B grade $2, subject to inspection, so the tool can do that arithmetic the moment you give it a count. Everything else is priced on your photos, because Euro, export, plastic and mixed lots move week to week and a published figure would be one we had to walk back.
Is the number binding?
It is the band we pay, subject to inspection. Grade and count are confirmed at pickup against the photos you send. If the lot matches the photos, the price in the written offer is the price we pay. If it is better or worse we show you the new number before anything is loaded, and you can say no.
When is the pickup free?
Collections of 60 or more reusable pallets in Greater Sydney are free. Smaller lots in Sydney are quoted, and outside Sydney the collection is priced in the written offer. Either way you see the cost before anything is booked.
What if most of them are broken?
Then it is a clearance rather than a sale, and we quote the cost up front. Any repairable pallets in the stack are credited against it, so send photos of the worst of it as well as the best.
How fast do I get the written offer?
Ask before 2pm on a business day and the price comes back the same day. After 2pm it goes out first thing the next business day.
