Quick answer
What do pallets cost?
A pallet costs $18.99 to $24.99 ex GST on the published from-prices, delivered across Greater Sydney in lots of 50 or more: a sound recycled standard 1165 pallet $18.99, a grade A standard 1165 $21.99 and a 2 tonne heavy duty hardwood pallet $24.99. National guide ranges for new pallets across Australia run higher. Four things move the price: the grade, the count, how far it travels and whether delivery is included, and the grade goes in writing on every quote.
What do pallets cost from 360?
Published since 11 October 2026 and delivered, not ex yard. These are Sydney. Every other market is quoted the same business day, because the delivered cost there is not confirmed end to end and a rate we cannot stand behind is worse than no rate.
| Grade | Price a pallet | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| Grade B standard 1165 Sound and dry, up to two repaired boards, none missing. The value choice for general warehousing and distribution. | $18.99 | Ex GST, delivered Greater Sydney, minimum 50 |
| Grade A standard 1165 Square and rigid, every board present, no protruding nails, no contamination. For racking and customer facing loads. | $21.99 | Ex GST, delivered Greater Sydney, minimum 50 |
| 2 tonne heavy duty Hardwood, rated for racking at 2 tonnes. For dense freight and anything going into beams. | $24.99 | Ex GST, delivered Greater Sydney, minimum 50 |
What do other pallet suppliers charge?
Read on 11 October 2026 from each supplier's own website. These are their listed prices, not quotes to us, and we have not changed them. Most do not state whether GST or delivery is included, which is the part that catches people out.
| Supplier | What it is | Listed | Terms as published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Abbey Pallets | Reconditioned lightweight, 1 tonne | $12.50 | Listed price. GST and delivery not stated. |
| Abbey Pallets | Reconditioned second grade, 2 tonne | $14.50 | Listed price. GST and delivery not stated. |
| Abbey Pallets | Reconditioned first grade, 2 tonne | $16.50 | Listed price. GST and delivery not stated. |
| Abbey Pallets | Euro size timber | $8.50 | Listed price. Condition, GST and delivery not stated. |
| Boxes for Business | Used Euro 1200 x 800 timber | $13.50 | Ex GST, sold in tens. Delivery not stated as included. |
Then add the delivery. Sydney delivery $75 plus GST an order, 50 pallet minimum, which works out at about $1.50 a pallet on a 50 pallet order. A listed price of $12.50 ex yard is nearer $14.00 by the time it reaches your dock. Ours already include it, so compare delivered against delivered or the cheaper number will cost you more.
What do pallets cost across Australia?
Broader than the figures above and not quotes. Useful for a budget, useless for an order.
| What | Range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Used Australian standard, national guide | $8 to $25 | Indicative guide range, not a quote. Bulk discounts of 10 to 30 per cent suggested at 100 or more. |
| New Australian standard, national guide | $25 to $55 | Indicative guide range covering both softwood and hardwood. |
| New EPAL Euro, national guide | $30 to $65 | Indicative guide range. |
What is a used pallet worth if you are selling?
The other half of the question, and the one most businesses never ask. We pay $3 a pallet ex GST for A grade and $2 for B grade, any type, when the pile is sorted with nothing broken through it, subject to inspection. Here is the only other published buyback we could find anywhere in the country.
| Buyer | What they take | Pays |
|---|---|---|
| We Buy Pallets | Clean standard 1165 | $3.00 |
| We Buy Pallets | Dirty or broken | $1.50 |
If you are paying a waste contractor to remove pallets that would qualify, you are paying twice. Work out what your lot is worth in about ten seconds, no contact details needed.
What moves the price of a pallet?
- Grade. A first grade two tonne pallet and a lightweight one tonne are both "a pallet" and there is four or five dollars between them. Ask for the grade in writing or you are comparing nothing.
- Quantity. Fifty is usually where delivery starts to make sense. Hundreds move the per pallet rate properly.
- Delivery. The single biggest reason two quotes look different when they are not. Ex yard against delivered is a dollar fifty to two dollars a pallet in metro Sydney and far more outside it.
- Timber and load rating. Hardwood two tonne costs more than softwood one tonne and it should. Match it to what you are actually racking, not to the cheapest line.
Listed prices on other suppliers' sites do not always state whether GST or delivery is included. Ours do. Check with the supplier before comparing line for line.

What people ask about pallet prices
How much does a pallet cost in Australia?
A used Australian standard 1165 pallet generally runs between $8 and $25 depending on grade, volume and where it has to go. New ones run higher, roughly $25 to $55. Those are national guide ranges rather than quotes. For a real number: we charge $18.99 a pallet ex GST delivered across Greater Sydney for a sound recycled standard pallet in lots of 50 or more, and the published prices other suppliers list are in the table above.
What is the price of a pallet in Australia?
There is no single price, and anyone who gives you one without asking the grade and the quantity is guessing. The four things that move it are grade, how many you are buying, how far it has to travel and whether the price includes delivery. A sound recycled standard pallet delivered in Sydney is $18.99 ex GST from us at 50 or more.
How much does a typical pallet cost?
If you mean the Australian standard 1165 by 1165 that most freight in this country moves on, and you are buying for a business rather than one for the garden, budget between $18 and $25 a pallet delivered for recycled stock, and $25 upward for new. Below about $10 you are usually looking at an ex yard price with the delivery still to come.
How much is a pallet worth to sell?
We pay $3 a pallet ex GST for A grade and $2 for B grade, any type, when the pile is sorted with nothing broken through it, subject to inspection. The only other published buyback in the country is We Buy Pallets at $3.00 for a clean standard pallet and $1.50 for a dirty or broken one. Euro, export, plastic and heavy duty stock is quoted per lot because the value moves with grade and with demand at the time.
Can you sell second hand pallets?
Yes, and if you are a business generating them every week you should be. The usual mistake is paying someone to take away pallets that are worth money. Photograph the pile side on, one photo per stack, and the price comes back in about a minute. No count needed, the scan does that.
Does anyone collect pallets for free?
We do, on 60 or more reusable pallets in Greater Sydney, because at that number the pallets pay for the vehicle. Below it, or on a mixed or damaged lot, the pallets do not cover the run and it is quoted as a clearance with the price in writing before anything is booked. Be careful with anyone promising a free pickup without asking the count: the cost usually turns up later.
How do I get rid of unwanted pallets?
Three outcomes and you want to know which one you are getting before the truck arrives. Reusable stock is bought. Repairable stock is credited as cores. Broken timber and unknown mixed lots are cleared at a quoted price. One enquiry covers all three and the split is agreed in writing first.
Why does nobody else publish prices?
Because a published price can be compared, and most of this trade is quoted per enquiry so it cannot be. We publish ours because the comparison is the point. If a cheaper price turns up that includes delivery and a written grade, take it.
