Systems, automation and practical AI

Everyone is telling you to use AI and nobody can tell you where it would pay.

What does the work involve?

  • The operation examined for the tasks that are repetitive, rule based and high volume, which is where automation actually pays.
  • A business case built on hours and error rates you can verify, not on vendor claims.
  • A small pilot run on one real process before anything is committed.

What do you get?

  • A ranked list of where technology would pay, with the numbers.
  • A business case for the top one or two.
  • A pilot, and help getting your staff to actually use it.

Who does it suit?

Businesses being pitched software or AI tools, or carrying a lot of manual administration that nobody has questioned.

Who is it not for?

Installing a tool the business has already bought, or building software; the work is the business case and the pilot, not the development.

How long does it take?

Business case inside three weeks; a pilot is scoped on its own once the case holds.

What do we need from you?

Missing some of this is normal and is not a reason to wait. Send what exists and we will tell you what the work can and cannot conclude before anyone commits.

  • The administrative tasks that eat the most hours, from the people doing them.
  • Volumes and error rates where they are known.
  • What software you already pay for, because the answer is often inside it.

What does it cost?

Scoped project. The business case comes before the build, and the pilot comes before the commitment. The guide, Bringing AI into Your Business, is $149 including GST.

How does 360 work?

A consultant delivers the work and is accountable for the content. Findings come from the data you supply and what we observe inside the agreed scope, and estimated benefits are opportunities to test rather than guaranteed savings. Where a recommendation could lead to 360 earning from supply, we say so in the report so you can compare it against the market. Full terms are on the purchase terms page.

Not sure this is the right one? The operations health check takes ten minutes, costs nothing and tells you where to look first.

Questions

Will you recommend AI?

Only where it beats the alternative. Plenty of these problems are fixed by a form, a rule or a different process, and that is a cheaper answer.

Where does AI usually pay in a warehouse or transport business?

In the administration around the operation: enquiries, quoting, proof of delivery, invoice matching, exception emails and reporting. Those are the hours the page asks you to list first. On the floor, the answer is more often a scanner and a process than a model.

We already pay for software we do not use. Does that count?

Usually that is where the first saving is. Most ERP, WMS and transport systems carry automation the business never switched on, and the review checks what you already pay for before anything new is pitched.

What does the pilot look like?

One task, one team, a measured baseline and a fixed period. The pilot either shows the hours and the errors coming down or it does not, and the commitment decision is made on that figure rather than on a demonstration.

Do you build it?

No. The work is the business case, the vendor or tool choice and the pilot design, as the page says. The build is done by the vendor or your own team, and 360 does not resell software.
