A job this truck is built for

Thirty-four pallets on a contract lane, the A trailer dropped at one DC and the B at the next, or a full interstate load where the per pallet cost is the lowest in the fleet. With the deck full, the payload works out at about 1.18 t a pallet on average; heavier pallets than that and the weight runs out before the floor does.

34 positions across two decks: 12 on the A trailer and 22 on the B trailer, two across on each. Schematic from the configuration on file; the deck is drawn to its internal length and width.

Is this the right size?

Pick the vehicle by the pallet count and the weight, in that order. A load that fits on the floor can still be over the payload, and a light load can still run out of positions. If you are near the line, quote both sizes and take the cheaper one. Either side of this vehicle:

Not sure? Describe the freight and every vehicle that fits comes back priced side by side.

Questions about the B-double

How many pallets fit on a b-double?

34 pallet positions. That is standard 1165 by 1165 Australian pallets on the floor, not double stacked. Double stacking is quoted separately because it depends on the height and the strength of your freight.

What can a b-double carry?

Up to 40 t of freight. Load volume is 140 cubic metres.

What licence does a b-double need?

A MC class licence as a minimum. The driver and the vehicle are both confirmed on the job sheet before the run.

Can I get a price without calling?

Yes. Put the pickup, the delivery and the freight into the quote tool and every vehicle that fits comes back priced, this one included. No form, no wait.

How are the pallets arranged on a b-double?

34 positions across two decks: 12 on the A trailer and 22 on the B trailer, two across on each. The diagram on this page numbers the positions from the headboard, so position one goes on first and comes off last. On a multi-drop run the last delivery is loaded first and the first delivery sits at the door.
