What should I check before ordering plastic pallets?
- Nestable pallets save freight and space on one way runs; rackable pallets carry steel reinforcement and cost more
- Hygienic closed deck pallets are the choice for food, pharma and clean rooms because they wash down
- Recycled plastic pallets are the best value where colour and hygiene certification do not matter

Questions about plastic pallets
When does plastic beat timber?
Hygiene, wash down, automation and closed loops where the pallet comes back. Plastic costs more up front and lasts far longer; it rarely pays on one way freight.
Are plastic pallets rackable?
Only the rackable type, which is reinforced. Nestable and hygienic pallets are for floor stacking and conveyors unless the datasheet says otherwise. A load rating always comes from the datasheet of the pallet supplied.
Do plastic pallets need ISPM 15 treatment?
No. Plastic is exempt from timber packaging rules, which is one reason exporters of food and pharmaceuticals use it.
Do you buy back plastic pallets?
Plastic is counted in its own stack and priced in the written offer, separately from the standard timber band, because the value depends on the type and the condition. Send the count, the type and a photo.
Can plastic pallets go on the same truck as timber?
Yes. A pallet is a pallet to the deck; the footprint decides the count. The pallets-per-truck page gives the positions by vehicle and a nestable plastic pallet stacks much higher empty than timber, which is the saving on the return leg.
