Up the M1
Pallets, pickups and trucks on the Central Coast, in Newcastle and across the Hunter.
The Central Coast is about 95 km up the M1 from the yard and Newcastle about 160 km, so the Coast and the Hunter are planned runs: Somersby, Tuggerah and Wyong on one, Beresfield, Thornton, Tomago and the Lake Macquarie estates on the other, with Hunter stock held at Bennetts Green.

Quick answer
Does 360 collect and deliver pallets in Newcastle and on the Central Coast?
Yes. The Central Coast is about 95 km up the M1 and Newcastle about 160 km, so Somersby, Tuggerah and Wyong are collected on one scheduled run and Beresfield, Thornton, Tomago and the Lake Macquarie estates on another, with Hunter stock held at Bennetts Green. The pickup is priced in the written offer against what the pallets earn; from sixty sound standard pallets it usually comes out in your favour. Pallets are priced the same business day when you ask before 2pm.
The estates
Where do we collect and deliver pallets between Gosford and Maitland?
- Central Coast, Somersby and Tuggerah: Somersby's estate at the top of the M1 above Gosford, Tuggerah's business park, the Wyong and Berkeley Vale estates along the Pacific Highway.
- Newcastle, Beresfield and Thornton: Beresfield and Thornton on the New England Highway at the Hunter Expressway, Newcastle's older industry through Mayfield, Carrington and Tomago, and the Lake Macquarie estates at Cardiff and Bennetts Green where our Hunter stock is held.
- West Gosford, Erina and Lisarow: the coast's oldest industrial address along Manns Road, with Erina and Lisarow on the same scheduled run.
- Cardiff, Glendale and Warners Bay: Lake Macquarie's manufacturing core, ten minutes from Bennetts Green.
- Rutherford, Maitland and Metford: the Hunter Valley's largest estate, up the New England Highway from Thornton.
- Tomago, Heatherbrae and Raymond Terrace: heavy industry around the smelter and the Port Stephens estates across the Hexham bridge.
Buying pallets up here: the Central Coast pallets page and the Newcastle pallets page carry the stock and grades. Selling them: the collection pages above take a photo and a count.
The rule
Is a pallet pickup free in Newcastle or on the Central Coast?
Not automatically. The free pickup from sixty pallets applies inside Greater Sydney. The Coast and the Hunter sit outside it, so the pickup is priced in the written offer and netted against what the pallets earn; on a sorted stack of sixty or more sound standard pallets it usually comes out in your favour, and you see the figure before anyone drives out. The Hunter run is short because it is collected from Bennetts Green, and Somersby, Tuggerah and Wyong are collected on one scheduled Coast run.
Trucks
How does freight run up the M1?
Sydney to the Central Coast is about 95 km, an hour and a half each way, and Sydney to Newcastle about 160 km, two hours each way outside the peaks. Both are day-trip lanes for a dedicated truck and routine lanes for shared freight (one to six pallets, ambient only, next business day or later). A quote asked for before 2pm is answered the same business day; the whole vehicle is priced by lane and vehicle on the booking page.
Getting a number
Send the stack, get the figure, then decide.
A photo and a count from Gosford to Maitland comes back as a written offer with the pickup priced on it. Nothing is booked until you have seen the figure.
Questions about the Coast and the Hunter
How far are you from Newcastle?
About 160 km by road from Prestons up the M1, two hours each way outside the peaks. Hunter pickups are collected from Bennetts Green, so that run is short.
Is pallet pickup free on the Central Coast?
No. The pickup is priced in the written offer and netted against what the pallets earn. From sixty sound standard pallets it usually comes out in your favour.
Do you deliver pallets to the Central Coast and Newcastle?
Yes. New and used pallets are priced the same business day when you ask before 2pm, with delivery on the quote.
Which Hunter suburbs do you stop at?
Beresfield, Thornton, Tomago, Hexham, Mayfield, Cardiff, Bennetts Green, Maitland and Rutherford are regular stops; the rest of the Hunter is a quoted job.
Do you collect CHEP or Loscam pallets?
No. Pooled pallets belong to the pool and go back to it. Keep them out of the count.
